10:00pm Umpire Review
|
All teams are requested to provide umpire rating after each game. Gentlemen, the league is investing a lot of energy and money in upgrading and maintaining umpiring standards. We need all the teams to rate the officials after each game. This can be done when you complete the score sheet online. Please make sure you enter umpire review points after each game by selecting a number between 1 to 5; with 5 being the best. This will help us maintain, train & hold higher standards for a great game for all.

11:00am Captain's Meeting - Update
|
important ones are as as follows:
1.) Players are allowed to play without full uniform and BCL ID card for the month of May only. Effective first week of June regular rules shall apply.
2.) ODI teams will use 2 balls from both ends, as a trial, for the month of May and provide feedback to the league regarding this setup.
3.) All players must be registered, approved and show on the Active Player list of the club before start of play.
4.) All captains have been given a booklet of BCL by-laws, this must be kept with the captains at all times, during play, for reference and support.
5.) Teams must make sure that match sheet is filled out completely with player's full name and BCL ID # and umpires are paid before the start of the game.

9:30am 2012 Captain's Meeting

is scheduled for THURSDAY, MAY 10 at Chris Gibson Recreational Centre located at 125 Maclaughlin Road, between Williams parkway and Queen Street from 7pm-9pm. All captains are advised to attend this meeting which is considered a necessary get together before the start of the season. BCL Balls can also be picked up at the same time.

Dear Members,
Please note that we are unable to schedule any practice games for this coming weekend due to the non availability of playing fields. If you require playing field for a friendly game please get in touch with the City of Brampton at (905) 874-BOOK to inquire on open spots, if any.
Regular season starts May 12th - please stay tuned for the schedule.

12:30 pm Fee Notice

we are posting this e-mail for prompt action.
Dear Team Executive,
This is the the final reminder to your club for payment of final registration fee for 2012 season. The last date is April 15,2012. You are advised to pay your team fee on or before April 15, 2012. If your team/club has already made the payments please ignore this email. The teams who fail to pay the registration fee 100% by above last date may loose their spot for the summer season 2012. There will be no further reminder in this regard, the teams / clubs will be informed about the BCL decision according to the payment status.
As informed earlier the fastest way of paying is direct deposit to BCL account at any TD Canada Trust branch ( Brampton Cricket League, Transit # 03102, Account # 523-0265). Do send us the transaction receipt number after deposits for proper accounting. Please act accordingly and eliminate any disappointments later on.

is now open. Clubs can start registering players. NOTE: COMPLETE & ACCURATE PLAYER ADDRESS, E-MAIL AND PHONE NUMBER MUST BE PROVIDED IN ORDER TO MAKE A PLAYER ACTIVE. User id and password for new teams have been emailed to you. Returning teams can contact Shamit Raj to request an updated id if the old one is not working.

We have created 3 divisions in the morning and 2 in the afternoon.
ODI teams: will play 12 games each + playoffs.
T20 teams: will play 14 games for Div 1 & 12 games for Div 2 & 3 + playoffs.

Note that final league fee is due by April 15th. Teams that do not follow this deadline will be dropped from the structure.

confirmation is now required. Returning teams are advised to submit their registration form to the BCL secretary before Jan 20, 2012. The league is experiencing an overwhelming demand from new teams to register in our setup. However, just like last year, preference will be given to returning teams. Returning teams that neglect to submit their registration confirmation by Jan 20 may lose their spot to a new team. Please act accordingly as there will be no reminders sent regarding this.
For 2012 the league has decided to "eliminate" the T25 format and will continue with T20 (mornings) & ODI (afternoon) formats.

Welcome to the official website of BRAMPTON CRICKET LEAGUE also referred to as: "BCL".
BCL, a not-for-profit association, was established in 2008. Our mission is to establish, nourish and nurture cricket in the great city of Brampton and the region of Peel.
BCL prides itself in offering all formats of cricket under 1 umbrella: 50 over (ODIs), T20s & Test Match. Our players range between the ages of 10 years to 45 years and come from all ethnic backgrounds.
